The HR department of TIMSR organized a Business Conclave on September 21, 2021 on “Green Business Practices for Sustainability”. The objective of the conclave was to create awareness on Green business practices and provide essential knowledge on current business practices for the sustainable development. The conclave was conducted via online and offline (hybrid) mode, keeping the present scenario in mind. The conclave was inaugurated by Ms. Sarita Patil (Chief Guest), Managing partner at Matchbox Shots, Mr. Shrinidhi Nadgauda (Guest of Honor), Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Intermarket India Pvt. Ltd and Dr. Pankaj Natu followed by the felicitation of the guests. Aligning with the theme, Ms. Sarita Patil mentioned skill upgradation, sustainable development goals (SDGs), and enlightened the students to be part of sustainable practices. The guest of honor, Mr. Shrinidhi Nadgauda also explained the significance of sustainability with the initiatives taken by Intermarket India Pvt. Ltd.
After the address by the guests, a short quiz on TIMSR values and sustainable practices was organized for the participants and the team received an overwhelming response to the same. Further, a panel discussion was also conducted in the second half of the conclave. Mr. Arun Kaimal, Human Resource Director at Danaher Corporation India, Ms. Saumya Badgyan, Vice President at Gold Star Jewelry and Mr. Vikas Sharma Project Manager at Ernst & Yong were the panelists and Dr.Pooja Thorat, HOD (HR) TIMSR, was the moderator for the discussion. The panelists discussed the significance, challenges to the business while adopting green practices, long term benefits and the ways to begin with green practices. The discussion was concluded by the moderator, Dr. Pooja Thorat.
